One of many boxes of rare and unusual English moths and butterflies purchased in the 1950s at auction in London by Charles Remington, now entomology curator emeritus of the Peabody. The specimens, which include coppers, tiger moths, blues, and fritillaries, show the remarkable variety of wing-color patterns possible in a single species.
