The 1967 Picasso in the dining room is called The Circus. The Kongo spirit figure below it, at center, is studded with nails; each was driven in by a priest to attract a spiritual power for healing. Some of the nails are pre-European, dating it to the 1800s or earlier. The light fixture is a miniature version of the chandeliers at the Metropolitan Opera House.
