“Myer Myers: Jewish Silversmith in Colonial New York”
Through December 30

Colonial New York City is the backdrop for an exhibition of 104 silver and gold objects crafted by silversmith Myer Myers (1723-1795). The material on display includes a pierced-work basket, a dish ring for a prominent Loyalist, and five pairs of Torah finials made for the three largest Jewish congregations in colonial America.

“A Gallery of Poems”
Through November 4

A display of 22 pairs of art objects and poems reveals that the ancient tradition of ecphrastic poetry—poetry directed to particular works of art—continues to enhance the relationship between art and literature.
